  • Specific Responsibilities

    Experience /Manage ramp operational staff on shift to deliver a service consistent with customer specifications, taking remedial action if necessary
    Ensure that Turnaround audits are being completed daily and feedback given to the staff.  Ensure any action plan is communicated to the Management and training team.
    Building & maintaining relationships with clients, airport authorities and other regulatory bodies. Building networks to spotlight any opportunities for working together with clients or agencies.
    Ensure that vehicle checks are carried out and that all paperwork is correctly maintained.  Ensure all vehicles are compliant with LOLER
    Working in collaboration with the Fleet Compliance Manager, ensure motorised vehicle standards are maintained in a proactive manner.
    Lead HSQE meeting structure with formal records and effective action plans.
    Ensure HSQE conformance in all activities and ensure RA/SSoW are being updated and communicated to staff
    Ensure that all staff complies with the uniform and PPE policy.
    Conduct performance appraisals with appropriate employees, identifying potential talent and recommending training and development where appropriate.
    Ensure that communication with colleagues is of the highest standard and all updates and necessary information is shared.  Encourage collaborative working systems for upward communication and ideas and conduct briefing/TBT when necessary

    Previous Experience / Qualifications Required

    Previous Experience of ramp/Airside operation at an airport is strongly desired.
    Previous customer service experience is essential as is demonstrable people management skills
    IT literate
    Needs to demonstrate some experience at Management level.
    You must be able to pass and hold an Airside Driving Permit to complete your duties, transporting company and customer properties from Airport/OCS locations to/from aircraft
    Strong people management skills and commitment to deliver performance levels
    Self-motivated and reliable with a conscientious approach and excellent attention to detail
    Flexible approach to work and able to work efficiently and thoroughly.
    Able to cope with a pressured environment, using initiative to solve problems
    Innovative with the ability to think creatively to solve problems
    Excellent communication skills and ability to build networks
    Able to work in a team environment and promote team working and safety culture
